Tanja Muravskaja's work studies the narratives of two monument wars, touching the subject just like a butterfly touching poisonous blossoms. The approaching anniversary of the last year April Russian rebellion will definitely magnify people's interest to find the truth about the action around the monuments. Muravskaja's work excludes fights and aggressive patriots, however, she's got two monuments. A few gestures, but high emotions. She sets up the intrigue around the limestone and glass as materials. There are two heaps – one made of limestone, Estonian national stone, representing Russians; and the other one made of glass, belonging to Estonians. The extra value of the piece lies in the message that all monuments serving patriotic-nationalistic functions are pointless and unnecessary attributes that sometimes become the tools in the hands of dark powers.
